Privacy Notice

The short version

  • Your reflection answers and notes are saved to your account so they follow you between devices. They are private to you: our admin tools cannot read them.
  • We collect your name and email to give you access and send your receipt, and we record how the course is used (for example lessons viewed or completed, video watch time and searches) so we can improve it and see how it is working.
  • Payments are taken by our payment provider. We do not see or store your card details.
  • This website does not use advertising trackers.

Who is responsible

NeuroHub Community Ltd is the controller of personal data collected through this website. Contact: enquiries@neurohubcommunity.org.

What we collect and why

  • Name and email: to provide the service and communicate about your purchase (contract).
  • Order details: to keep financial records (legal obligation), including your acceptance of the instant-access terms.
  • Messages you send us: to answer you.

Your reflections and progress

Your progress, reflections and notes are stored in your account on our database provider (Supabase), protected so that only you can read your own answers. You can download a copy at any time from your account, and ask us to delete your account and everything in it. Reflections can be personal, so we have designed the system so that administrators see only totals and activity counts, never the text you write.

Marketing emails

At checkout there is an optional, unticked box. If you tick it, we add your email address to our mailing list (run by Brevo) and email you about similar courses and resources from NeuroHub Community; while the launch offer runs, ticking it also gives you a lower pay-once price. Your consent is optional: if you don’t tick it, you can still buy the course and we won’t send you marketing. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link, and you can change your choice at any time in your account or by contacting us, without losing access to the course. Free-access and invited accounts are not added to the list. Emails about your account and purchase are sent regardless.

Usage information

While you are logged in we record events such as lessons viewed and completed, video watch time, searches and how a lesson felt (if you choose to say). We use this to understand engagement and improve the course. We do not record the content of your notes or reflections, and we do not sell data or use advertising trackers.

The pre-course and closing surveys

At the start of the course you complete a short survey about how you currently understand autism and how confident you feel supporting Autistic people, and at the end you complete a short closing survey asking similar questions so we can see what has changed. Both run on Google Forms, embedded in your course area. Neither asks for your name or email. Google processes the answers, and we use them in aggregate to tailor and evaluate the course. Please don’t include identifying details in the free-text answers.

Where data is processed

Account data and progress are held by Supabase; videos are played from YouTube (Google) in its privacy-enhanced mode, so YouTube may receive your IP address and viewing data when a video plays; payments are handled by Stripe.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you, and you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).

Sharing

We share data only with the providers needed to run the service, such as payment and email providers. Providers we use: Supabase (accounts and database), YouTube and Google Forms (video and the pre-course survey), Stripe (payments), Brevo (account emails and the mailing list) and Netlify (website hosting).

Draft for legal review before launch.
