Questions about the autism course

Everything about who the course is for, how it works, pricing, refunds and progress tracking.

Who is the Re-Storying Autism course for?

It is for parents, carers and family members who want to support an Autistic loved one in a way that works with them, and for Autistic people (including late-identified and self-identified adults) who want language and understanding for their own experience. It starts from Autistic dignity. It is not for anyone looking to change, cure or normalise an Autistic person.

What will I get when I join?

Instant access to 7 modules and a welcome video: 63 step-by-step lessons, about 4½ hours of video, the full workbook text for every lesson, interactive reflection prompts, progress tracking, and the complete 350+ page workbook as a free PDF download.

How much does the course cost?

The course is £79.99. Until 1 April 2027 it is £69.99 if you choose to hear from us by email about similar courses and resources (optional, ticked at checkout). You can also pay £12.99 a month, with a minimum of 6 months (£77.94); after that you can cancel any time.

Can I get a refund?

Because the course is an instant-access digital product, you are asked at checkout to agree that access starts straight away and that you lose your usual 14-day right to cancel once it does. If the course is faulty or not as described, your statutory rights are not affected, so please contact us. Read the full details on our refunds and cancellation page.

How does paying monthly work?

You pay £12.99 a month and get access straight away. It is a subscription with a minimum term of 6 months (£77.94). After the minimum term you can cancel any time, and your access ends when the period you have paid for ends. If you would rather own the course for life, pay once instead.

How does progress tracking work?

Mark lessons complete as you go and the course shows your progress for each module and overall, remembers the last lesson you opened, and resumes videos where you stopped. There are no deadlines, streaks or scores. Your progress, reflections and notes are saved privately to your account, so they follow you across your phone, tablet and computer, and you can download your notes whenever you like. Only you can read your reflections.

Do I need an account?

Yes. When you buy, we email you a link to choose a password, and you log in with your email and password. If you forget it, use “Forgotten your password?” on the login page.

Do I have to watch the modules in order?

No. Start wherever feels most useful. The course is designed so that you can follow it step by step from the beginning, or dip into the lessons that matter most right now, and come back to the others when you are ready.

Can I read instead of watching the videos?

Yes. Every lesson includes the full workbook text, so you can watch, read, or do both.

Is there a certificate?

Yes. When you have marked every lesson complete and completed the short closing survey, you can create a personal certificate of completion with your name and print it or save it as a PDF.

Is this medical or therapeutic advice?

No. The course offers education, understanding and reflection, based on Autistic-led theory and lived experience. It does not replace advice from your own health, education or care professionals.

Can I buy the workbook on its own?

Yes. The paperback and Kindle editions are on Amazon, and the PDF is available from NeuroHub Community. If you join the course, the PDF workbook is included free.

Can I try it before I buy?

Yes. There is a free preview lesson with the welcome video and a full lesson from the workbook, and a free community webinar.

Is the course suitable for Autistic young people?

The workbook includes reflection pages for Autistic children and young people (aged 8 and over) to complete with a trusted adult, as well as for Autistic adults and for families. Parents and carers can use those pages alongside the lessons.

What are the surveys at the start and end of the course?

Everyone begins with a short pre-course survey about how they currently understand autism and how confident they feel supporting Autistic people, and finishes with a short closing survey asking the same kinds of questions, so we can see what has changed. Neither asks for your name or email, so your answers are anonymous, and there are no right answers. You complete each once, inside your course area, and the closing survey unlocks your certificate.

Will you email me marketing?

Only if you ask us to. At checkout there is an optional, unticked box: tick it and we will email you about similar courses and resources from NeuroHub Community (and, while the launch offer runs, the pay-once price is lower). Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can switch this on or off in your account at any time without losing your course. Emails you need, such as your receipt and password resets, are always sent.

Can I share my login or use the course with colleagues?

Each purchase is for one learner. If you are a therapist, educator, social prescriber or other professional who wants to use the framework in your practice, ask us about a professional licence.
